world at the 24 Hours of Le Mans recently. Goodyear had a heavy presence at the racing event through its visibility around the circuit and its brand-new booth at the heart of the fan village.
Goodyear’s booth was in a prime location amongst some of the race’s most prestigious brands, offering insight into the products, racing DNA and passion of the Goodyear brand.
Garage 56: NASCAR to Le Mans
The Garage 56: NASCAR is a development vehicle from the popular Innovative Car programme, which featured at the Goodyear booth this year. The vehicle was originally adapted to race at Le Mans 12 months prior, and this year it took centre stage at Goodyear’s Le Mans presence and was a popular attraction amongst fans.
To highlight this year’s racing activities, the Garage 56 car was joined by the Goodyear Wingfoot Award trophy which will be presented at the end of the season.

Luca Davide Andreoni on Goodyear’s Biggest Le Mans Operation
Luca Davide Andreoni, Head of Brand Consumer Europe for Goodyear shared his thoughts on the operation:
“On the track, this was Goodyear’s biggest Le Mans operation in history, working with a record number of teams and prestigious sports car manufacturers in the new LMGT3 class. This made it the perfect opportunity to engage with fans and guests about Goodyear’s activity beyond the track. Attendance figures at Le Mans are more impressive each year, and a prime location in the fan village gives us an unrivalled opportunity to meet consumers and share our brand with them through our road tire display, motorsport experience or popular new merchandise range.”
The Goodyear Wingfoot Award
The Goodyear Wingfoot Award trophy made an appearance at Le Mans 24 alongside the Garage 56: NASCAR. The award recognises the art of consistent performance and is awarded to the driver who has the best average lap time over the course of one or two stints. Porsche driver Richard Lietz won the award at the previous round, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and his race suit, helmet and trophy were on display.
Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport
Visitors to the booth could also find out more about Goodyear’s consumer road tyre ranges, and particularly how performance road tyres like the Eagle F1 SuperSport family relate to the racing tyres used on the track.
The Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport is an ultra ultra high performance tyre (UUHP) which is race inspired, offering balanced wet and dry grip for the road, and exceptional dry grip and handling for the track, allowing sports vehicles to go readily from road to racetrack.
An interactive quiz at the event allowed visitors to find out more about different tyres and their needs, while also offering the chance to win exclusive prizes.
How Goodyear’s Eagle F1 SuperSport Connects Road Tyres with Racing
The iconic Eagle F1 SuperSport was developed by Goodyear following its presence in the racing industry. The F1 SuperSport tyre family includes three types of tyre: the Eagle F1 SuperSport, Eagle F1 SuperSport R and the exclusive Eagle F1 SuperSport RS, which was developed for exclusive use on Porsche 911 GT2 RS and GT3 RS models.
These UUHP tyres offer varying levels of road and track performance, with sport-like features and race-like performance at the forefront. The original F1 SuperSport is the perfect road tyre that delivers superior, race-like grip and handling on dry roads. The adapted SuperSport R meets in the middle between road performance and specialist track performance, offering exceptional grip and steering precision both on the road and on the track. Goodyear’s exclusive SuperSport RS is a track-ready tyre offering exhilarating performance on dry surfaces.
Meet & Greet with LMGT3 Drivers
Goodyear’s presence at Le Mans doesn’t end with the Garage 56: NASCAR! Meet and greets and signing sessions with top LMGT3 drivers from Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche added to the excitement of the event, plus a brand new Goodyear fashion range proved popular with fans, adding a further touch of style.

Beyond the booth in the fan village, Goodyear had a number of other areas at the circuit to add to the action and engage with guests and VIPs. The Goodyear Racing Club overlooks the action from a dedicated grandstand, while the Goodyear Garden offers a break from the fast-paced environment as somewhere to relax.
Guided tours of the operations area, the base of 100 Goodyear engineers, tire fitters and support staff, provided behind the scenes insight to guests, too.
Goodyear’s Winning Legacy at Le Mans 2024
On the track, Porsche-supported team Manthey EMA became the first ever LMGT3 class winner at Le Mans, coming to the fore in a race that was characterised by inconsistent rain and safety car interventions. Goodyear’s new slick and wet LMGT3 tires impressed teams on their Le Mans debut, with teams hitting Goodyear’s target of completing four fuel stints (around 40 laps or 545 km) on one set of tyres even in the first day of track action.
