The GT Radial SportActive 2 Launch

The new GT Radial SportActive 2, launched in March of 2021, has been specially developed for high-performance premium vehicles and offers outstanding traction. With innovative technologies, the SportActive 2 provides maximum control and handling in both wet and dry conditions. The tyre is initially available in 14 sizes ranging from 16” to 20”.

Developed with the latest compound technology, the SportActive 2 ensures the maximum tyre to road contact which helps achieve immediate grip and enhances the longevity of the tyre. 

The SportActive 2’s tyre boasts designs that enable the tyre to expel and drain water at the same time as the micro-sipes create a suction effect for additional grip on the roads surface to diminish the risk of aquaplaning. The optimised tread pattern block results in low noise and a comfortable drive, even at high speeds. 

The optimised tread pattern block not only has been designed with 4 wide grooves for exceptional water drainage, but the pattern block geometry & pitch means your drive is quieter than ever. 

The tyre has been designed and engineered at Giti Tyre’s European Research & Development centre in Hannover, whilst collaborating with the testing companies MIRA facility in the UK, Germany and Spain.
