Goodyear plans to introduce over 40 news sizes to its award-winning UltraGrip Performance 3 range to meet an increasing demand for larger tyres. It’s anticipated that many motorists will be pleased to see the introduction of more sizes after 90% of stock keeping units were sizes of 19 inch and above.
The UltraGrip Performance is already available in an expansive number of sizes with rim sizes ranging from 14 – 20 inches. With the higher demand for larger tyres, this will soon be an even more inclusive tyre, equipping more vehicles throughout the winter months.
The demand for larger tyres stems from the increasing popularity of SUVs and EVs which often require larger, specialised 4×4 tyres or EV and hybrid tyres. Larger sized tyres are known to offer better grip and traction, leading to improved overall performance when it comes to handling and braking. The wider surface area increases stability which makes them a popular choice in the winter months especially. The enhanced grip of a larger tyre means a higher load rating, allowing vehicles to carry heavier loads. All of this combined means a big demand for higher tyre sizes, especially when it comes to premium tyres.
It is no surprise that the UltraGrip Performance 3 is required to cater to an even larger market after its renowned performance in winter weather. The UltraGrip Performance 3 a TÜV test winner that has come 1st for Snow Handling Performance, Wet Braking Performance and Dry Braking Performance, making it a popular and well sought after winter tyre.
The announcement of extra sizes becoming available in the UltraGrip Performance 3 has come just in time for winter, where we anticipate a high demand for premium performance winter tyres. Goodyear’s UltraGrip Performance 3 will equip many more cars throughout the colder months and no doubt will be seen on more and more SUVs in due course.
From wet weather, to snow, ice and slush, the UltraGrip Performance can handle it all. The innovative Snow Protect Technology keeps cars stable when turning snowy corners thanks to dense, hydrodynamic grooves that enhance grip on snowy surfaces. The improved water dispersion gives a smoother and more responsive drive on wet and snowy surfaces, as part of Goodyear’s Advanced Wet Grip Technology.
Always at the forefront of innovation, Goodyear’s tyre range still remains a popular choice amongst many motorists, and it is great to see Goodyear keeping up with the demand for more UltraGrip Performance sizes. With over 40 new SKUs being introduced across the course of this year, more SUV drivers won’t need to worry about finding an UltraGrip to fit their car this winter.
